RE: Oasis Academy Leesbrook Transition Centre
Dear Parent/Carer,
Oasis Academy Leesbrook is a school where all young people receive a personalised educational experience. We support all our students to successfully progress through school and then on to work or further education. To enable us to provide for all, regardless of starting point, we have appointed a new Transition Teacher who will join us after the Easter break.
Miss Leach is an outstanding Primary practitioner with Secondary experience and a passion for supporting students to make excellent progress. Miss Leach will work with students across year 7 & 8 to ensure that any knowledge or skills gaps are filled, enabling them to then return to their main stream classes.
Students selected to receive support from Miss Leach and the Transition Centre will benefit from: extra support in a smaller class environment; targeted interventions where it is needed most; and, a programme to ensure readiness for the extensive skills and knowledge required at Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4.
The students' progress will be closely monitored and Miss Leach will keep parents/carers informed of successes and areas for development across the targeted subjects, in-line with the Academy’s reporting system.
We are truly excited to be able to offer such personalised provision here at Leesbrook!
