Hola , Ciao, خوش ,مرحبا, bună, Olá, hello!  Welcome to our Transition Centre!

The Transition Centre is a smaller learning environment where nurturing confidence and inspiring a love of learning is at the heart of all that we do. We provide targeted and personalised support for each of our students to ensure that they make accelerated progress and are able to access Key Stage 3 mainstream lessons as soon as possible. 

Most of the students supported by the Transition Centre are new to English or have a special educational need. We believe that all of our students are capable of exceptional things, as such they all study quality literature including Geraldine McCaughrean's Greek Myths Retold, Seamus Heaney's Beowulf and Madeline L'Engle's A Wrinkle in Time. They explore these texts through drama, guided reading and creative writing. Alongside our personalised curriculum we deliver several interventions including Fresh Start Phonics, EAL vocabulary interventions and pre-teaching for Maths.
