On Friday 13th March, a group of Leesbrook students took part in the Senior National Reading Champions Quiz, competing against schools from across Greater Manchester and Merseyside and putting their literary knowledge to the test.
The quiz challenged students on a wide range of texts, authors and literary knowledge, encouraging teamwork, critical thinking and a love of reading. It was a fantastic opportunity for our students to represent the academy and engage with reading in a competitive regional setting.
At Leesbrook, we are always looking for opportunities for our students to develop, challenge themselves and expand their knowledge beyond the classroom. Events such as the Reading Champions Quiz allow students to deepen their understanding of literature while building confidence and academic curiosity.
